Blockchain ConsultantIDR is seeking a highly experienced Blockchain Consultant for an ongoing contract opportunity. This full-time contract role offers the chance to contribute to innovative blockchain projects in Manassas, VA, within a collaborative and forward-thinking environment. As a Blockchain Consultant, you will play a key role in shaping the strategic direction and technical implementation of blockchain solutions within the financial sector.
Responsibilities- Deliver strategic assessments and provide expert platform recommendations for financial blockchain applications, utilizing technologies such as Ethereum, Solana, Polkadot, Cosmos, Hyperledger Fabric, and Corda.
- Collaborate with internal software development teams to design, prototype, and implement blockchain solutions focused on tokenization, smart contracts, interoperability, and consensus mechanisms.
- Optimize blockchain systems for scalability, gas efficiency, transaction speed, and cost-effectiveness, including the exploration and integration of Layer-2 technologies, sharding, and rollups.
- Advise on infrastructure architecture, including node management, network operations, uptime strategies, and governance models to ensure robust, resilient, and efficient blockchain networks.
- Lead security assessments and conduct smart contract audits, utilizing industry best practices to identify vulnerabilities and propose actionable remediation plans.
- Minimum of 7 years of hands-on experience in blockchain development and consulting, with deep knowledge of multiple blockchain platforms such as Ethereum, Solana, Polkadot, Cosmos, Hyperledger, and Corda.
- Demonstrated success in designing and deploying secure, scalable, and high-performance blockchain systems in production environments.
- Expert-level understanding of consensus mechanisms, transaction processing, network protocols, and distributed ledger architecture.
- Extensive experience with smart contract development, blockchain security best practices, and audit processes.
- Strong understanding of the regulatory and compliance landscape applicable to blockchain applications, particularly in financial services.
