Security Systems Technician Job DescriptionIDR is seeking a skilled and motivated Security Systems Technician for a full-time contract opportunity in Centennial, Pueblo, and Grand Junction, CO. This position is ideally suited for professionals with a solid background in the installation, integration, and maintenance of security solutions, including access control systems, CCTV, and intrusion detection systems. Responsibilities- Install, integrate, and program access control systems to ensure secure environments for clients.
- Troubleshoot and maintain CCTV surveillance systems, including systems from providers such as Milestone and Genetec, for optimal security monitoring.
- Diagnose and repair intrusion detection systems, including platforms from DMP and Bosch, to maintain high standards of safety.
- Deliver outstanding customer service when responding to technical support needs, even in high-pressure situations.
- Work independently and travel locally to various job sites within Centennial, Pueblo, and Grand Junction, CO to meet project requirements and client needs.
- Consistently adhere to company protocols and industry best practices when handling sensitive security systems and data.
- High school diploma or GED, or equivalent relevant experience in the security systems field.
- Three to five years of hands-on experience working with access control hardware and software, such as AMAG, Lenel, Genetec, CCURE, and S2.
- Proficiency in installing, troubleshooting, and maintaining CCTV systems and intrusion detection platforms.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record, as local travel to client sites is required.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills to effectively address client needs and ensure satisfaction.
