Restaurant Manager Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Restaurant Manager to join our upscale casual theme restaurant. As a Restaurant Manager, you will play a key leadership role in ensuring smooth daily operations, upholding exceptional service standards, and delivering a memorable dining experience for every guest. This full-time position offers the opportunity to work in a vibrant restaurant environment where teamwork and high-quality service are valued.
Responsibilities
- Guest Experience: Deliver outstanding customer service and ensure every guest enjoys a positive and memorable dining experience. Address customer inquiries, concerns, and feedback with professionalism and efficiency.
- Operational Support: Collaborate with the General Manager to oversee daily restaurant operations, including opening and closing procedures, staff scheduling, and maintaining a clean and organized establishment.
- Team Leadership: Motivate and support both front-of-house and back-of-house teams, including hosts, servers, bartenders, and kitchen staff. Foster a positive work environment that encourages teamwork, ongoing training, and staff development.
- Staff Supervision: Assist in supervising and coordinating restaurant staff activities to promote efficiency and adherence to quality and service standards. Provide guidance and coaching to enhance team performance and resolve any issues.
- Inventory Management: Work with the General Manager to monitor inventory, conduct regular counts, and place supplier orders as needed. Ensure proper storage and rotation of food and beverage products.
- Quality Control: Maintain high standards for food quality, presentation, and service. Conduct regular inspections to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, cleanliness, and company procedures.
- Sales Support: Contribute to initiatives that drive restaurant sales and promote menu items to guests.
- Financial Management: Assist with cash handling, reconciling daily sales, and preparing deposits. Help monitor and control expenses to achieve financial targets.
- Health and Safety Compliance: Ensure adherence to all health and safety regulations, including food handling, sanitation, and workplace safety procedures. Maintain accurate records and documentation as required.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years' experience as a Restaurant Manager or in a similar supervisory role within the food service industry.
- Strong customer service orientation and excellent interpersonal skills.
- Outstanding organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Proven leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a diverse team.
- Thorough understanding of restaurant operations and service standards.
- Proficiency with POS systems and restaurant management software.
- Basic knowledge of inventory management and cost control practices.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage pressure with composure.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required by the restaurant's schedule.
