We are seeking an accomplished Restaurant General Manager to lead the team at our polished casual steakhouse. Key Responsibilities
- Operational Excellence: Directly manage daily restaurant operations, including food preparation, service quality, cleanliness, and guest interactions. Ensure all areas consistently meet or exceed health and safety regulations, company policies, and industry best practices.
- Team Leadership: Recruit, train, and develop restaurant staff, building a high-performing, collaborative team. Provide regular coaching, feedback, and support to motivate staff and ensure ongoing professional development. Foster a positive, inclusive, and growth-oriented work environment.
- Customer Service: Set and maintain exemplary standards for guest service. Actively engage with guests to ensure satisfaction, promptly address concerns, and create memorable dining experiences. Champion a culture of hospitality and customer care.
- Financial Management: Monitor and analyze financial performance, including sales, labor, and food costs. Develop and implement strategies to maximize revenue and control expenses in order to achieve and surpass financial goals. Oversee inventory management, vendor relations, purchasing, and cost control programs.
- Quality Control: Ensure consistent execution of menu items, presentation, and adherence to recipes and quality standards. Conduct regular inspections to guarantee food safety and quality compliance.
- Training and Development: Design and implement comprehensive training programs for all staff, covering service standards, menu knowledge, and operational procedures. Encourage a culture of continuous learning and skill development.
Qualifications
- Minimum of five (5) years of experience as a Restaurant General Manager or Managing Partner in a high-volume, full-service restaurant setting.
- Exceptional leadership skills and the ability to inspire, motivate, and manage a diverse team.
- Comprehensive knowledge of restaurant operations, including both front-of-house and back-of-house management.
- Excellent customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Expertise in financial management, budgeting, and cost control strategies.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills, with the ability to adapt in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency with restaurant management software and point-of-sale (POS) systems.
- Willingness and ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
