Restaurant General Manager Position Overview
We are currently seeking an accomplished Restaurant General Manager to oversee all aspects of daily restaurant operations in a full-time capacity. Key Responsibilities
- Operational Management: Supervise the daily operations of the restaurant, ensuring efficient and smooth workflow throughout all shifts. Implement best practices to maintain seamless service for guests.
- Financial Oversight: Monitor and manage the restaurant's financial performance, including revenue, expenses, and profitability. Develop budgets, manage costs, and set performance targets for sales and cost control.
- Staff Leadership: Recruit, hire, train, and mentor restaurant staff. Foster a positive and productive work environment. Conduct regular performance reviews, manage schedules, and address employee concerns to maintain a cohesive team.
- Customer Service Excellence: Ensure guests receive high-quality service on every visit. Address guest concerns or complaints promptly and professionally to ensure total satisfaction.
- Inventory and Supply Management: Oversee inventory processes, maintain proper stock levels, and ensure timely ordering to minimize waste and prevent shortages. Maintain relationships with suppliers and vendors.
- Health and Safety Compliance: Uphold all health, safety, and sanitation standards by enforcing relevant laws, regulations, and company policies. Ensure restaurant operations are always in compliance with applicable requirements.
- Marketing and Promotion: Collaborate with the marketing team to develop and execute effective promotional strategies, increasing traffic and boosting the restaurant's visibility in the community.
- Strategic Development: Implement operational strategies that enhance service quality, elevate guest satisfaction, and increase revenue. Continuously seek opportunities for improvement.
- Community Engagement: Build positive relationships with the local community, fostering a strong public image and supporting the restaurant's reputation as a valued local business.
Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years in restaurant management or a comparable role, with at least 2 years in a senior leadership capacity within the hospitality industry.
- Leadership: Demonstrated ability to lead, motivate, and manage teams effectively. Strong interpersonal and communication skills are essential.
- Financial Acumen: Proven experience managing budgets, controlling costs, and improving profitability in a restaurant environment.
- Problem-Solving: Ability to quickly identify operational issues and implement effective solutions in a fast-paced setting.
- Customer Focus: Commitment to providing exceptional guest experiences and maintaining high standards of customer service.
- Flexibility: Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed to support business operations.
- Education: A degree in Hospitality Management, Business, or a related field is preferred but not required.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency with POS systems, inventory management software, and Microsoft Office Suite.
