Usability Tester Job OverviewWe are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Usability Tester to join our quality assurance team on a remote, full-time basis in Austin, TX. As a Usability Tester, you will play a crucial role in evaluating the user experience and overall functionality of our digital products, including applications and websites. Responsibilities- Conduct comprehensive usability testing scenarios on both mobile and web-based platforms, ensuring all user interactions are thoroughly evaluated.
- Systematically identify, document, and report bugs, glitches, and user experience issues with clear, actionable details for the development team.
- Collaborate closely with development and design teams by providing insightful feedback and recommendations to address identified usability issues.
- Verify the operability and consistency of software features across multiple devices, browsers, and screen sizes to ensure a seamless user experience.
- Prepare and submit detailed reports on usability findings and suggested improvements, either on a daily or weekly basis as required by project timelines.
- Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to follow structured testing instructions and accurately record outcomes.
- Proficiency with remote work tools and a strong understanding of mobile and web app ecosystems.
- Preferred prior experience in quality assurance, usability testing, or a closely related field.
- Reliable internet access and ownership of a desktop, laptop, or mobile device to conduct tests across platforms.
