As a Registered Nurse (RN) – Pulmonary, you will play a pivotal role in delivering comprehensive patient care in collaboration with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals. This position requires strong clinical skills in pulmonary and cardiology nursing, as well as the ability to provide health education, coordinate referrals, and respond effectively to urgent and emergency situations. You will be responsible for performing patient assessments, administering medications and treatments, and ensuring the highest standards of care and compliance with all established policies and procedures.
In this full-time role, you will serve as a primary point of contact for patients, providing health promotion, counseling, and education to support optimal patient outcomes. You will also supervise and direct other healthcare providers, ensuring a collaborative and efficient care environment. Registered Nurse (RN) – Pulmonary: Summary- Provide comprehensive nursing care in a pulmonary clinic setting as part of a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
- Conduct patient assessments, perform health histories, and administer medications and treatments.
- Coordinate referrals and specialty care appointments as needed.
- Deliver health education and counseling to patients and families.
- Respond appropriately and efficiently in urgent and emergency situations.
- Coordinate patient care with a range of healthcare professionals to ensure optimal clinical, quality, and cost-effective outcomes.
- Maintain compliance with all standards of care, policies, procedures, and guidelines within the medical treatment facility.
- Perform physical examinations and collect comprehensive health histories.
- Offer health promotion, education, and counseling tailored to the needs of the patient population.
- Administer medications, treatments, and personalized interventions as prescribed.
- Direct and supervise the care provided by other healthcare team members.
- Identify and respond swiftly to adverse signs and symptoms, particularly during emergencies.
- Communicate and collaborate with diverse healthcare professionals to ensure continuity of care and effective patient and family education.
- Facilitate referrals, schedule follow-up appointments, and arrange for specialty care as appropriate.
- Perform all nursing services as outlined in the task order and organizational requirements.
- Participate in research initiatives to support improved nursing practice and patient outcomes.

- Bachelor of Science in Nursing from an NLNAC or CCNE-accredited institution.
- Current, full, active, and unrestricted license to practice as a Registered Nurse (RN).
- Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification.
- Minimum of one (1) year experience in cardiology, pulmonary, or sleep medicine within the past five (5) years.
- U.S. Citizenship is required.
- Physical ability to stand, walk, bend, lift, transfer, and reposition patients during extended shifts.
- Manual dexterity, visual and auditory acuity, and the ability to respond quickly to emergencies, including performing CPR and participating in rapid response and resuscitation efforts.
- Experienced Registered Nurse (RN) with specialized skills in pulmonary, cardiology, or sleep medicine.
- Demonstrates excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication abilities.
