As a Registered Nurse (RN) in the PCU, IMC, or Stepdown unit, you will be responsible for providing high-quality nursing care to patients who require close monitoring and frequent assessment but do not need intensive care. You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans, monitor patient progress, and respond to changes in patient condition. Registered Nurse (RN) – PCU / IMC / Stepdown Summary- Deliver direct nursing care to patients in Progressive Care Unit, Intermediate Care, or Stepdown settings.
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to develop and implement patient-centered care plans.
- Monitor and assess patient condition, recognizing and responding to changes promptly.
- Document patient information and care interventions accurately in medical records.
- Maintain effective communication with patients, families, and interdisciplinary team members.
- Ensure compliance with all facility policies, procedures, and regulatory standards.
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments and continuous monitoring of vital signs.
- Administer medications, treatments, and interventions as prescribed.
- Facilitate patient education regarding diagnosis, treatment plans, and post-discharge care.
- Assist in admission, transfer, and discharge processes.
- Respond quickly and efficiently to emergencies and changes in patient condition.
- Collaborate closely with physicians, therapists, and support staff to ensure coordinated care.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives within the unit.

- Current, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license.
- Experience working in PCU, IMC, or Stepdown units is preferred.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification may be required depending on facility.
- Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team environment.
