Registered Nurse (RN) – PCU/IMC/Stepdown Summary- Provide direct and compassionate nursing care to patients in the Progressive Care Unit, Intermediate Care, and Stepdown settings.
- Monitor, assess, and respond to patients with complex and changing health conditions.
- Work collaboratively with physicians, advanced practice providers, and interdisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality patient outcomes.
- Utilize advanced monitoring equipment and evidence-based protocols to ensure patient safety and well-being.
- Conduct frequent patient assessments and record vital signs, symptoms, and progress.
- Implement and evaluate individualized care plans based on patient needs and physician orders.
- Administer medications, monitor IV infusions, and manage advanced medical equipment.
- Provide patient and family education regarding disease processes, treatment plans, and recovery expectations.
- Assist with procedures and collaborate with healthcare team members to coordinate care transitions.
- Respond promptly to changes in patient status and initiate appropriate interventions.
- Document care accurately and maintain compliance with regulatory and facility standards.
