Registered Nurse – Progressive Care Unit (RN – PCU) Summary- Provide direct patient care in a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) setting.
- Collaborate with physicians, specialists, and interdisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality care.
- Monitor and assess patients with complex medical conditions requiring close observation.
- Utilize advanced clinical skills to respond rapidly to changes in patient status.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory and safety standards.
- Perform comprehensive nursing assessments and document findings accurately.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans tailored to patients’ needs.
- Administer medications, treatments, and interventions in accordance with physician orders.
- Monitor vital signs, cardiac rhythms, and other critical indicators.
- Educate patients and families about care plans, post-discharge instructions, and health maintenance.
- Advocate for patient safety and well-being at all times.
- Participate actively in shift handoffs and interdisciplinary care meetings.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date electronic health records (EHR).
- Respond to emergency situations using critical thinking and decisive action.

- Active and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred, but not required.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications.
- Previous experience in Progressive Care, Intermediate Care, or Stepdown unit highly desirable.
- Strong assessment, clinical, and communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
