Registered Nurse – Progressive Care Unit (RN – PCU) Summary- Deliver evidence-based, patient-centered care in a progressive care environment.
- Monitor patients with complex or acute health conditions and respond rapidly to changes in status.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Support patient and family education throughout the care process.
- Maintain accurate documentation in accordance with regulatory and facility standards.
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care for patients in the PCU/IMC/Stepdown setting.
- Administer medications, treatments, and interventions as prescribed.
- Utilize advanced monitoring equipment to track patient status and report any significant changes promptly.
- Assist with procedures and respond to emergencies in alignment with facility protocols.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the healthcare team to ensure continuity of care.
