Registered Nurse – Medical Surgical (RN – Med Surg) Summary- Provide direct and comprehensive nursing care to adult patients on the medical-surgical unit, ensuring compliance with clinical standards and regulatory guidelines.
- Support patients' physical and emotional needs throughout their stay, emphasizing quality and patient-centered care.
- Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to create and implement effective care plans.
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care in the medical-surgical unit.
- Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately as prescribed.
- Monitor patient progress and document all care provided in accordance with facility policies.
- Educate patients and families about disease processes, treatment options, and post-hospitalization care.
- Respond promptly and appropriately to changes in patients’ conditions, utilizing critical thinking skills.
- Work collaboratively with the healthcare team to promote optimal patient outcomes.
- Maintain up-to-date records, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with privacy regulations.
