The Registered Nurse – GI Lab (RN GI Lab) position involves working collaboratively with physicians, other nursing staff, and allied health professionals to deliver excellent patient care before, during, and after gastroenterology procedures. Registered Nurse – GI Lab (RN GI Lab) Summary- Collaborate with physicians and healthcare team members to deliver high-quality patient care in the GI Lab.
- Provide pre-, intra-, and post-procedure nursing care to patients undergoing gastroenterology procedures.
- Maintain a safe, comfortable, and inclusive environment for all patients.
- Utilize clinical knowledge and skills to support smooth GI Lab operations and positive patient outcomes.
- Monitor patients before, during, and after GI procedures, ensuring safety and comfort.
- Prepare procedure rooms, equipment, and supplies according to established protocols.
- Assist physicians with endoscopic and other GI procedures.
- Administer medications and IV sedation as ordered, following best practices and safety guidelines.
- Provide patient education about procedures, recovery, and post-procedure care.
- Document all aspects of patient care accurately and in a timely manner.
- Participate in quality improvement and infection control initiatives within the GI Lab.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of GI Lab procedures, equipment, and clinical guidelines.

- Current and valid Registered Nurse (RN) license.
