The Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) plays a vital role within the Access Healthcare Multi-Specialty Group, providing essential diagnostic imaging services in a collaborative and technologically advanced environment. Key Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality, professional diagnostic imaging services using advanced technologies, including radiographic, Computed Radiography (CR), Digital Radiography (DR), and Picture Archive Communication System (PACS).
- Assess patients thoroughly before, during, and after radiologic procedures in accordance with established Imaging Services and Departmental Guidelines.
- Position patients appropriately to achieve optimal imaging results, ensuring both comfort and safety throughout the procedure.
- Perform specialized clinical skills such as intravenous (IV) contrast injections and urinary catheterizations as required by protocols.
- Utilize the Radiology Information System (RIS) and maintain accurate electronic medical records to support patient care and regulatory compliance.
- Contribute to the education and training of new staff members and students, fostering a culture of continuous learning within the department.
- Maintain a safe and organized work environment while adhering to all safety standards and infection control policies.
- Engage in physically demanding tasks, including frequent heavy lifting, pushing, bending, climbing, or walking, as necessitated by the job.
Minimum Qualifications
- Graduate of an approved School of Radiologic Technology.
- Active American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification, or eligibility to obtain ARRT registry.
- Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers (AHA BLS-HCP) certification.
- Demonstrated effective interpersonal, communication, and teamwork abilities.
- Successful completion of job-specific orientation and competency validation.
- Previous experience as a radiology technician is preferred but not required.
