Quality Inspector (QA Inspector) - Summary- Responsible for inspecting products and monitoring manufacturing processes to ensure adherence to quality standards.
- Interprets technical drawings and specifications to verify product requirements.
- Supports ongoing quality improvement and corrective action initiatives.
- Contributes to maintaining compliance with internal and external quality requirements.
- Acts as a key resource for quality-related queries and training within the production team.
- Conduct product inspections and monitor processes following established quality protocols.
- Interpret complex mechanical drawings, including weld symbols, bend angles, and other critical specifications.
- Operate precision measurement tools to check product dimensions and compliance.
- Document and report nonconforming materials and equipment.
- Participate in corrective actions, containment, and quality improvement projects.
- Assist manufacturing teams in identifying, resolving, and preventing quality issues.
- Lead and conduct process capability studies and Gage R&R analyses.
- Perform internal quality and process audits to maintain standards.
- Maintain inspection, calibration, and quality tracking records.
- Conduct root cause analysis and support preventive actions, including 8D methodology.
- Help prepare and maintain supplier and customer PPAP documentation.
- Train other inspectors on measurement techniques and drawing interpretations.
- Serve as a daily resource for production teams on quality-related issues.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support overall quality objectives.

- High school diploma or GED required.
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in quality assurance or quality control within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Proven ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and technical specifications.
- Proficient in the use of precision measurement equipment such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
- Excellent attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Organizational ability to manage multiple tasks and maintain accurate records.
- Data analysis skills to identify quality trends and propose solutions.
- Experience with GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems.
- Knowledge of statistical process control (SPC), Gage R&R, and quality tools (e.g., control charts, check sheets, flowcharts, histograms, scatter diagrams).
- Background in supporting new product launches and quality planning activities.
- Intermediate skills in Microsoft Excel and Word, including formulas, pivot tables, and conditional formatting.
- Adaptable and collaborative mindset with a commitment to continuous improvement.
- Work is performed in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, with regular exposure to moving mechanical equipment and moderate noise levels.
- Physical requirements include standing and walking throughout the shift, frequent use of hands for measuring and handling materials, occasional climbing and kneeling, and the ability to lift up to 10 lbs regularly (up to 50 lbs occasionally).
- Visual requirements include close and distance vision, depth perception, peripheral vision, and the ability to adjust focus.
