QA Automation Engineer - Summary

Duties & Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain test automation frameworks for UI testing using Selenium Java and for REST API testing using Rest Assured and TestNG.
- Build and implement SQL queries for backend validation and ensure database accuracy through automation tools.
- Execute both automated and manual testing procedures to provide comprehensive end-to-end software coverage.
- Perform hands-on testing of Microservices and REST APIs, including automation and integration testing to verify functionality and reliability.
- Collaborate with software developers, product managers, and QA team members to define requirements and establish effective test strategies.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies and contribute to the continuous improvement of testing processes and tools.
- Document test results, log issues, and track defects to resolution using standard QA tracking tools.

Qualifications & Requirements
- 5-8 years of experience in QA automation, with proven expertise in Selenium WebDriver and Java.
- Solid experience in API automation testing using Rest Assured, REST APIs, and Postman.
- Demonstrated ability to develop test automation frameworks using TestNG and Cucumber.
- Strong skills in writing and validating SQL queries for backend data verification.
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies and tools, including Jira, Confluence, Bamboo, Git, and Stash.
- Experience working in Scrum teams and contributing to Agile software development lifecycles.
