Project Manager (PMP) - Summary
- Full-time position overseeing end-to-end project execution in power generation and distribution manufacturing
- Responsible for managing projects involving generators, ATS, paralleling switchgear, and related equipment
- Coordination across sales, engineering, vendors, and customers
- Direct oversight of procurement, scheduling, and financial execution
- Travel required up to 50% for onsite project management and client engagement
Duties & Responsibilities
- Review project orders for accuracy, including BOMs, cost estimates, and contracts
- Validate technical specifications to align with customer requirements and quoted scope
- Collaborate with sales and engineering to address scope gaps and risks
- Manage the complete project lifecycle from purchase order to final acceptance
- Obtain and track submittal approvals and manufacturing authorizations
- Issue purchase orders and manage procurement of equipment and services
- Coordinate logistics, including vendor shipping and delivery schedules
- Maintain timelines and ensure milestones and deliverables are met
- Support invoicing and ensure accuracy of financial records
- Provide regular status updates to stakeholders and clients
- Proactively resolve project issues to prevent delays and cost overruns
- Participate in and ensure compliance with safety programs and standards
- Perform additional duties as assigned to support project success

Qualifications & Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field preferred
- Minimum of 5 years’ project management or engineering experience in the electric power or related technical industry
- Familiarity with diesel and gaseous generators, ATS, and paralleling switchgear
- Strong understanding of electrical and mechanical power generation systems
- Experience in customer-facing project delivery and coordination
- Excellent organizational, scheduling, and multitasking abilities
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with AutoCAD and Adobe Acrobat is a plus
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively across teams
- Strong customer service orientation with a sense of urgency and ownership
- Experience with Caterpillar or similar OEM environments considered an asset
