Project Engineer, Construction (PE) Position OverviewWe are seeking a skilled and experienced Project Engineer, Construction (PE) to join a reputable and rapidly growing commercial general contracting company based in Los Angeles, CA. As a Project Engineer, Construction (PE), you will play an essential role in overseeing all engineering and technical aspects of construction projects, ensuring they are executed with exceptional precision, quality, and within established timelines and budgets.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare, schedule, coordinate, and monitor assigned engineering projects to ensure successful delivery and client satisfaction.
- Ensure strict compliance with relevant building codes, industry best practices, quality assurance and quality control (QA/QC) policies, and performance standards throughout the project lifecycle.
- Maintain ongoing communication with clients, effectively interpreting their requirements, representing their interests on-site, and providing regular project status updates.
- Conduct comprehensive quality control across all project aspects, including budget adherence, scheduling, plan execution, and team performance.
- Assign tasks, mentor, and support project team members to foster collaboration and drive project success.
- Closely collaborate with project managers and key stakeholders to deliver technical expertise and support as needed.
- Review engineering deliverables and implement corrective actions to address any discrepancies or issues.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management, Construction Engineering, or a closely related field.
- Demonstrated experience as a Project Engineer, with 3–4 years of relevant experience in construction engineering.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Microsoft Project, as well as strong general computer skills.
- Advanced knowledge of design and visualization tools such as AutoCAD.
- Familiarity with applicable industry regulations, building codes, best practices, and performance standards.
- Ability to manage projects across multiple disciplines and excel in a fast-paced environment, promoting teamwork and a positive work culture.
- Strong skills in project management, decision-making, leadership, time management, and organization.
- Experience with Building Information Modeling (BIM), Revit, or LEED Accreditation is considered an asset.
- 2–4 years of hands-on experience in construction is required.
