Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Planning and Execution: The Program Manager (PgM) defines the strategic direction for multiple programs, setting objectives, establishing scope, and developing detailed roadmaps for delivery. This includes creating and managing project timelines that align closely with organizational goals to ensure successful program outcomes.
- Cross-Functional Leadership: The Program Manager (PgM) leads diverse teams made up of project managers, developers, architects, quality assurance professionals, and business analysts. The role ensures team alignment, provides necessary resources, and drives collaborative efforts throughout the program lifecycle.
- Budget and Financial Oversight: Managing and tracking program budgets, the Program Manager (PgM) analyzes expenditures, monitors variances, and implements corrective actions as needed. The goal is to deliver projects within financial constraints and maximize value for stakeholders.
- Stakeholder and Client Engagement: Acting as the primary contact for both internal and external stakeholders, the Program Manager (PgM) manages client expectations, facilitates clear communication, and helps resolve conflicts to maintain positive relationships throughout the program duration.
- Risk and Issue Management: The Program Manager (PgM) proactively identifies, assesses, and mitigates risks by implementing risk management frameworks. Responsibilities include maintaining decision logs, documenting assumptions, and developing contingency plans to address potential issues.
- Reporting and Documentation: Comprehensive documentation is maintained by the Program Manager (PgM), including progress reports, risk assessments, and budget updates. Regular communication with stakeholders and leadership ensures transparency and alignment.
Required Qualifications
- 12–15+ years of total professional experience, including at least 5+ years in program or portfolio management overseeing large-scale, end-to-end programs.
- Proven experience supporting clients in capital markets and financial domains.
- Background in legacy modernization projects and experience with application development life cycles.
