The Production Worker plays a vital role as part of the front-line production team. This position involves a variety of tasks that directly impact the efficiency, quality, and safety of the commercial laundry plant. The successful candidate will engage in a range of duties, including soil sorting, operating commercial dryers and washers, stain washing, folding, ironing, packing, and distribution. The ability to follow instructions, adhere to safety protocols, and maintain production standards is essential to success in this role.
Individuals in the Production Worker position are responsible for supporting the seamless operation of the plant by performing tasks such as pulling bags, sorting soiled linens, and ensuring that all activities are completed in the designated order. - Participate in soil sorting, dryer operation, wash operation, stain washing, folding, commercial ironing, packing, and distributing clean linen.
- Pull bags and process laundry activities in the designated order to maintain workflow efficiency.
- Sort soiled linen into appropriate containers for processing.
- Follow all company directions and safety precautions to ensure a secure and productive work environment.
- Maintain production standards as determined per hour, contributing to the plant's overall performance goals.
- Notify supervisors promptly if technical issues hinder the ability to meet production standards.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support the overall operation of the commercial laundry plant.
