Production Supervisor - Summary
- Lead and coordinate daily manufacturing operations to achieve production, quality, safety, and delivery targets.
- Promote a culture of accountability, teamwork, and ongoing improvement within the production team.
- Oversee production schedules, monitor performance metrics, and address any issues that impact productivity.
- Collaborate with cross-functional departments including Engineering, Supply Chain, Quality, Maintenance, and Customer Service to ensure seamless operational flow.
- Coach, mentor, and develop team members, fostering engagement and professional growth.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Direct daily manufacturing operations to achieve organizational goals in production, safety, quality, and delivery.
- Establish clear expectations, hold team members accountable, and conduct regular performance evaluations.
- Monitor production metrics and proactively address any obstacles to optimize throughput and efficiency.
- Coordinate with other departments to resolve issues and maintain seamless production processes.
- Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic equipment issues in collaboration with maintenance teams.
- Ensure preventative maintenance programs are followed to minimize equipment downtime.
- Identify and recommend equipment upgrades for improved productivity and reliability.
- Coach and mentor production staff, promote cross-training, and support succession planning initiatives.
- Identify and implement opportunities to enhance manufacturing efficiency, reduce waste, and improve workstation organization.
- Support Lean Manufacturing initiatives, lead root cause analysis, and implement corrective and preventive actions.
- Champion OSHA compliance and ensure adherence to established safety procedures by all team members.
- Conduct routine safety observations and audits to maintain a safe working environment.
- Support quality investigations and corrective action processes, promoting a culture where quality is everyone's responsibility.

Qualifications & Requirements
- Five or more years of progressive experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Proven experience leading production teams in an industrial manufacturing setting.
- Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot production equipment.
- Experience supporting preventative maintenance programs.
- Demonstrated ability to improve productivity, quality, and operational performance.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment.
Ideal Candidate Snapshot
- Background in manufacturing leadership within HVAC, sheet metal fabrication, industrial equipment, or machinery manufacturing is highly preferred.
- Experience with CNC-controlled fabrication equipment.
- Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or Kaizen methodologies.
- Welding, fabrication, or assembly experience.
- Experience with ERP/MRP manufacturing systems.
- Forklift certification is a plus.
- Experience with equipment such as Turmatic Flow Water Jet Systems, Accurpress CNC Press Brakes, AMADA Fabrication Equipment, Copper Tube Bending Machines, Multi-Press Hydraulic Press Systems, and other sheet metal fabrication equipment is advantageous.
