Accounting SpecialistIDR is currently seeking an Accounting Specialist for a full-time position with one of our top clients located in Fort Morgan, CO. This opportunity is ideal for individuals with a solid foundation in accounting and procurement processes who are eager to contribute their expertise in a collaborative and growing environment. As an Accounting Specialist, you will play a crucial role in supporting financial operations and ensuring the accuracy of procurement and accounting activities.
Responsibilities- Serve as the primary contact for Quickbase application tasks related to purchase orders, receiving, inventory management, and posting transactions to ledgers using APIs.
- Prepare and process purchase orders and coordinate the receiving of goods and materials.
- Oversee inventory management responsibilities, including item verification, inventory transfers, and conducting routine cycle counts to maintain accurate records.
- Track and document labor costs, ensuring all job sheet postings are verified and accurately recorded.
- Handle accounts payable functions, including coding invoices and submitting them for processing within established timelines.
- Manage billing and accounts receivable activities, which includes processing intercompany, internal, and third-party invoicing.
- Compile and coordinate financial and operational data from multiple systems to support reporting and analysis.
- Minimum of three years of experience as an Accounting Specialist or in a similar accounting role.
- Demonstrated proficiency in procurement processes and inventory management systems.
- Strong understanding of labor cost tracking, accounts payable procedures, and transactional workflows.
- Experience with billing and accounts receivable processes.
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational abilities, with a proven track record of managing multiple tasks efficiently.
- Experience in the construction or telecom industry is preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or a related field is highly preferred; relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
