Printing Press Operator - Summary- Set up, operate, and monitor printing equipment for the production of printed cartons and packaging materials.
- Maintain production quality by adhering to company and customer standards.
- Perform quality inspections, document production data, and maintain accurate records throughout each shift.
- Support a safe, organized, and efficient work environment.
- Set up printing equipment in line with job specifications and specific production requirements for each run.
- Load and prepare inks, printing plates, and other essential materials for operation.
- Adjust machine settings to ensure optimal print quality, color accuracy, and product consistency to meet customer expectations.
- Monitor ongoing printing operations to quickly identify and resolve issues, such as misprints, registration errors, or color discrepancies.
- Conduct routine quality inspections to verify that finished products meet or exceed established standards.
- Document all production data, including job numbers, machine settings, quality checks, and production outcomes.
- Keep detailed, accurate production and quality records for every shift.
- Inspect printing equipment regularly for signs of wear, defects, or operational concerns and report as necessary.
- Perform basic preventative maintenance and routinely clean machinery to ensure optimal performance and longevity.
- Report equipment malfunctions and coordinate with maintenance staff to resolve technical issues in a timely manner.
- Follow all safety protocols, quality assurance standards, and organizational policies without exception.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area to contribute to a safe and efficient workplace.
- Assist with additional production-related duties as assigned by supervisors or team leads.

- Minimum of 1 year of previous manufacturing or production experience.
- Demonstrated mechanical aptitude and the ability to safely use hand tools and machinery.
- Ability to follow both written instructions and verbal directions accurately and efficiently.

- Ability to collaborate and work effectively within a team-oriented manufacturing environment.
- Preferred: At least 6 months of direct experience in printing, press operation, or as a Printer Operator.
- Preferred: Previous experience in packaging, printing, or carton manufacturing environments.
- Physical ability to stand and walk for extended periods during 12-hour shifts.
- Able to frequently bend, reach, and perform repetitive tasks as required by production demands.
- Capable of lifting, carrying, pushing, or pulling up to 50 pounds as necessary.
- Comfortable working in a manufacturing setting with moving equipment and varying temperatures.
- Reliable and punctual, with a strong work ethic and sense of responsibility.
- Detail-oriented and organized, ensuring all production details and records are accurate and up to date.
- Adaptable and proactive, able to identify and resolve production or equipment issues promptly.
- Collaborative team player, supportive of colleagues and focused on shared production goals.
