Primary Care Physician (Outpatient, MD/DO) Job OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Primary Care Physician to join our private practice in Elizabeth City, North Carolina. This is a full-time, 100% outpatient position, offering a unique career opportunity to provide comprehensive healthcare services to the local community. Key Responsibilities- Deliver comprehensive primary care services to patients in an outpatient clinical setting.
- Perform routine examinations, diagnose illnesses, and develop treatment plans tailored to individual patient needs.
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests, including laboratory work and imaging studies, as appropriate for patient care.
- Provide preventive care, health education, and counseling to patients and their families regarding healthy lifestyle choices and disease prevention.
- Manage chronic conditions such as diabetes, hypertension, and asthma, ensuring ongoing monitoring and adjustment of treatment plans.
- Coordinate care with other specialists and healthcare providers as needed to support optimal patient outcomes.
- Maintain accurate and timely medical records in accordance with regulatory and organizational standards.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the continuous enhancement of patient care services.
- Engage in minimal phone call duties as part of the practice's commitment to work-life balance.
- Medical Doctor (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited institution.
- Board certification or eligibility in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine.
- Valid and unrestricted medical license to practice as a Primary Care Physician in North Carolina.
- Demonstrated commitment to providing patient-centered care and working collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
- Dedication to upholding ethical and professional standards in healthcare delivery.
