Primary Care Physician (MD/DO, FM/IM) – Greensboro, NC – Full-time
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Primary Care Physician (MD/DO, FM/IM) to join our innovative healthcare team in Greensboro, NC on a full-time basis. Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive outpatient primary care to a senior population with multiple complex chronic conditions, including heart disease, diabetes, and hypertension.
- Deliver patient-centered care in alignment with a value-based care model, focusing on quality outcomes, patient satisfaction, and overall wellness.
- Manage a patient panel with an average of 10–12 patients per day (maximum panel size of 650).
- Collaborate within a multidisciplinary team, including a dedicated medical assistant, scheduler, referral specialist, and leadership support, to ensure seamless patient care and operational efficiency.
- Participate in activities and programs designed to promote health and well-being among seniors, including exercise, art, and wellness events provided at no cost to patients.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care in the electronic health record system.
- Adhere to evidence-based guidelines and achieve quality metrics, including HEDIS compliance, reduction of hospital sick days, and high patient satisfaction ratings.
- Contribute to the ongoing improvement of clinical processes and patient outcomes in collaboration with the care team and leadership.
- Participate in an on-call schedule determined by the number of providers in the market (e.g., 1:32 weeks if 32 physicians are present).
- Perform common office procedures such as suturing, joint injections, skin biopsies, and basic wound care as needed.
Qualifications
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree.
- Board certified or board eligible in Family Medicine (FM) or Internal Medicine (IM).
- Current, unrestricted, and active license to practice medicine in North Carolina.
- Current DEA registration.
- Proficiency in standard office procedures relevant to primary care, including suturing, joint injections, skin biopsies, and wound care.
- Fellowship training in Geriatrics is a plus but not required.
