Primary Care Physician (MD/DO) Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Primary Care Physician (MD/DO) for a full-time opportunity in Tulsa, OK. Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive outpatient primary care to a senior patient population, focusing on individuals with complex and chronic conditions such as heart disease, diabetes, and hypertension.
- Work collaboratively within a value-based care model to ensure optimal patient outcomes, quality metrics, and overall satisfaction.
- Manage a panel of up to 650 patients, averaging 10-12 patients per day, to allow for personalized, thorough care that addresses each individual's unique needs.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives, including compliance with HEDIS measures and efforts to reduce hospital sick days.
- Engage with your care team, including a medical assistant, scheduler, referral specialist, and leadership support, to deliver coordinated and efficient patient care.
- Utilize proficient clinical skills in common office procedures such as suturing, joint injections, skin biopsies, and basic wound care.
- Contribute to a positive patient experience by fostering trust, demonstrating empathy, and supporting the company's mission and values.
- Participate in an equitable call schedule, dependent on the number of providers in the market.
- Embrace opportunities to promote health education and wellness activities for patients, including coordination of community-based initiatives such as exercise and art classes.
Qualifications
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree required.
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Family Medicine (FM) or Internal Medicine (IM); fellowship in Geriatrics is a plus but not required.
- Current, unrestricted, and active medical license to practice medicine.
- Current DEA registration.
- Experience and proficiency in office procedures, including suturing, joint injections, skin biopsies, and wound care.
