Primary Care Physician (MD/DO) Job Overview
Optigy is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Primary Care Physician (MD/DO) to join our team on a locum tenens, full-time, onsite basis. This opportunity is situated in the vibrant Greater Denver Area and offers the chance to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care in a collaborative clinical environment. The role is ideal for physicians interested in working with a senior patient population and practicing within a value-based care model. As a Primary Care Physician, you will work alongside a team of mission-driven healthcare professionals focused on holistic and comprehensive patient care.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct primary care services to a panel of senior patients in a clinic setting, utilizing a value-based care approach.
- Conduct thorough patient assessments, develop individualized care plans, and manage ongoing health concerns for patients, with a daily patient volume of 12–18 individuals.
- Engage in proactive care coordination with an interdisciplinary team to ensure continuity and quality of care for all patients.
- Utilize a proprietary electronic medical record (EMR) system designed to streamline provider workflow and support efficient documentation.
- Participate in clinic meetings and contribute to the ongoing development of care protocols and best practices for geriatric and senior care.
- Maintain compliance with all clinical and regulatory standards, including proper documentation and adherence to organizational policies.
- Commit to an initial three-month assignment with the possibility of transition to a permanent, full-time role based on clinic needs and performance.
Qualifications
- Medical Doctor (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited institution.
- Board Certified or Board Eligible (BC/BE) in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine.
- Active Colorado medical license or eligibility to obtain one prior to start date.
- Experience working with Medicare Advantage plans or within value-based care models is preferred.
- Strong commitment to patient-centered, senior-focused healthcare delivery.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team environment.
