Primary Care Physician (MD/DO) Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Primary Care Physician (MD/DO) to join our innovative healthcare team on a full-time basis. Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive outpatient primary care services to an adult and senior patient population, focusing on management of complex chronic diseases such as heart disease, diabetes, and hypertension.
- Maintain an average daily patient load of 10-12 individuals, ensuring personalized and attentive medical care.
- Manage a panel size of up to 650 patients, fostering long-term relationships and continuity of care.
- Collaborate closely with a dedicated care team, including medical assistants, schedulers, referral specialists, and leadership support, to deliver coordinated and efficient care.
- Participate in a value-based care model, emphasizing patient outcomes, satisfaction, and overall wellness.
- Utilize electronic medical records and proficient PC skills for office-based procedures such as suturing, joint injections, skin biopsies, and basic wound care.
- Engage in regular quality improvement initiatives, including adherence to HEDIS compliance, reducing hospitalizations, and supporting company values.
- Participate in a manageable call schedule based on the number of providers in the market, ensuring work-life balance.
- Contribute to a positive and inclusive clinic environment, upholding the organization’s commitment to respect, dignity, and patient autonomy.
Qualifications
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree required.
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Family Medicine (FM) or Internal Medicine (IM).
- Active, unrestricted license to practice medicine in the state of Florida.
- Current DEA registration.
- Fellowship training in Geriatrics is a plus, but not required.
- Proficiency in office-based procedures and electronic medical records.
- Strong commitment to value-based, patient-centered care and continuous quality improvement.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
