Primary Care Physician (MD/DO) Position OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Primary Care Physician (MD/DO) to join a well-established healthcare provider in Silver City, New Mexico. This is a full-time opportunity for a board-certified or board-eligible physician to deliver high-quality patient care within a supportive and collaborative team environment. Responsibilities- Provide comprehensive primary care services to a diverse patient population, including preventive care, diagnosis, treatment, and management of acute and chronic health conditions.
- Conduct thorough patient assessments, order and interpret diagnostic tests, and develop individualized treatment plans.
- Educate patients and their families about health maintenance, disease prevention, and available treatment options.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including nurses, specialists, and support staff, to ensure coordinated and effective patient care.
- Maintain accurate and timely medical records in compliance with organizational policies and regulatory standards.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and adhere to best practice guidelines to enhance patient care and clinic performance.
- Demonstrate strong communication skills and uphold patient confidentiality at all times.
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited medical school.
- Completion of an accredited residency program in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine.
- Board certification or eligibility in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine (MD/DO).
- Active and unrestricted medical license to practice as a Primary Care Physician (MD/DO) in the state of New Mexico, or eligibility to obtain licensure.
- Demonstrated commitment to patient-centered care and ability to work well in a team-based setting.
- Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
This is a full-time position as a Primary Care Physician (MD/DO) based in Silver City, NM. Physicians will work regular hours in a clinical setting with a focus on continuity of care and patient engagement.
