Primary Care Physician (MD/DO) About the Opportunity
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Primary Care Physician (MD/DO) for a full-time position in New Orleans, LA. Key Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, comprehensive primary care services to a panel of senior patients with multiple chronic conditions in an outpatient clinic setting.
- Manage a patient panel of up to 450 individuals, averaging 18 patients per day to ensure personalized, high-quality care.
- Work collaboratively with a dedicated care team, including a medical assistant, scheduler, and referral specialist, to coordinate patient care and optimize health outcomes.
- Utilize value-based care models to improve patient health and deliver measurable results.
- Participate in administrative duties as scheduled, ensuring efficient practice operations and continuity of care.
- Engage in regular communication with in-house consulting specialists, such as cardiologists and podiatrists, to deliver holistic and coordinated patient care.
- Promote wellness through holistic health services offered at the clinic, such as acupuncture, Tai Chi, yoga, and nutrition counseling.
- Adhere to a Monday through Friday schedule, with clinic hours from 7:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., and no required nights or weekends, supporting work/life balance.
- Support the organization's mission to honor seniors with VIP care and help deliver better health outcomes to the community in New Orleans, LA.
Qualifications
- Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited medical school.
- Completion of a residency program in Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, or Geriatric Medicine.
- Board Certification or Board Eligibility in Family Medicine (FM), Internal Medicine (IM), or Geriatric Medicine.
- Strong commitment to value-based, patient-centered care for seniors.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Dedication to professional growth and providing high-quality healthcare.
