Primary Care Physician (MD/DO) Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Primary Care Physician (MD/DO) to join our full-time team in Tampa, FL. Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality, comprehensive primary care services to a panel of senior patients, focusing on those with 3-5 chronic diseases.
- Maintain a patient panel of up to 450 patients to ensure personalized attention and continuity of care.
- Conduct patient visits in a 100% outpatient setting, managing an average of 18 patients per day.
- Collaborate closely with a dedicated clinical support team, including a medical assistant, scheduler, and referral specialist, to optimize patient care and workflow.
- Participate in value-based care initiatives, emphasizing improved outcomes, preventive care, and reduced health disparities among seniors.
- Work Monday through Friday, with clinic hours from 7:30 am to 5:00 pm (last patient scheduled at 4:15 pm), ensuring work-life balance with no nights or weekends required.
- Utilize administrative time included within your schedule for documentation, care coordination, and professional development.
- Engage with in-house consulting specialists in areas such as cardiology and podiatry, as well as holistic health services like acupuncture, tai chi, yoga, and nutrition counseling.
- Participate in regular team meetings and contribute to a collaborative, supportive work culture.
Qualifications
- Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution.
- Completion of an accredited residency program in Internal Medicine (IM) or Family Medicine (FM).
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, or Geriatric Medicine.
- Commitment to providing patient-centered, value-based healthcare to seniors with complex medical needs.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
