Primary Care Physician (MD/DO) About the Opportunity
We are seeking a dedicated Primary Care Physician (MD/DO) to join our innovative healthcare team in Greensboro, NC. This is a full-time position with a focus on delivering comprehensive, value-based outpatient care to a predominantly senior patient population. Primary Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality, patient-centered primary care in an outpatient setting, focusing on seniors with multiple chronic conditions such as heart disease, diabetes, and hypertension.
- Manage a panel size of up to 650 patients, with an average of 10-12 patient visits per day, ensuring personalized and attentive care for each individual.
- Collaborate with a dedicated care team including a medical assistant, scheduler, referral specialist, and receive support from clinical leadership to optimize patient outcomes.
- Participate in a value-based care model, with compensation bonuses tied to patient satisfaction, adherence to company values, HEDIS compliance, and reduction of hospitalizations.
- Maintain a regular Monday through Friday schedule from 8:00am to 5:00pm, fostering work-life balance and consistent patient care.
- Participate in an equitable call rotation, with call frequency determined by the number of providers in the market.
- Utilize proficient clinical skills in office-based procedures such as suturing, joint injections, skin biopsies, and basic wound care as required for patient needs.
Qualifications
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree required.
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Family Medicine (FM) or Internal Medicine (IM).
- Active, unrestricted medical license to practice in the state of North Carolina.
- Current and valid DEA registration.
- Fellowship training in Geriatrics is a plus, but not required.
- Competency in basic office procedures including suturing, joint injections, skin biopsies, and wound care.
