Primary Care Physician (MD/DO) Job OverviewFamily Practice Associates is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Primary Care Physician (MD/DO) to join our independently owned, mid-sized primary care office. This is a full-time opportunity for a board-certified physician in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine. Our practice is committed to providing high-quality, comprehensive primary care services to an underserved community in Wilmington, DE. As an approved site with the J1-Visa Waiver Program and the National Health Service Corps (NHSC), we welcome candidates interested in loan repayment opportunities and serving medically underserved populations.
Responsibilities- Deliver comprehensive primary care services to patients of all ages, including diagnosis, treatment, and ongoing management of acute and chronic medical conditions.
- Utilize electronic health record (EHR) systems efficiently to document patient encounters, order tests, and coordinate care, ensuring accurate and up-to-date patient records.
- Educate patients and their families on preventive care, treatment options, health maintenance, and wellness strategies to promote overall well-being.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals to provide coordinated and holistic patient care.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and shared savings programs as a member of our Accountable Care Organization (ACO), focusing on high-quality, cost-effective care.
- Foster strong physician-patient relationships by developing a personal rapport and tailoring care to meet individual patient needs.
- Maintain a favorable work-life balance with limited weekend call responsibilities and no inpatient hospital duties.
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) degree from an accredited institution.
- Board certification in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine.
- Active medical license or eligibility to obtain a medical license.
- Experience and proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems.
- Eligibility for J-1 Visa Waiver and/or commitment to work at a National Health Service Corps (NHSC) approved site is highly desirable.
