Primary Care Physician (Family Medicine or Internal Medicine) - Outpatient Position OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Primary Care Physician, specializing in either Family Medicine or Internal Medicine, to join a thriving outpatient practice in Dunedin, FL. Responsibilities- Deliver comprehensive primary care services to patients in an outpatient office setting, focusing on prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of acute and chronic illnesses.
- Manage a patient panel with an average daily volume of 12–15 patients, ensuring personalized attention and continuity of care.
- Develop individualized care plans in collaboration with patients and their families, emphasizing patient education and shared decision-making.
- Utilize electronic medical records (EMR), specifically eClinicalWorks, to document patient encounters, track health outcomes, and coordinate care efficiently.
- Participate in regular interdisciplinary team meetings to review cases, discuss best practices, and support continuous quality improvement initiatives.
- Allocate built-in administrative time within the workweek to complete patient documentation, follow up on test results, and coordinate with specialists as needed.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of current best practices and advances in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine, participating in ongoing professional development as appropriate.
- Uphold the highest standards of patient confidentiality and ethical conduct in accordance with all applicable laws and regulations.
- Medical Doctor (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited institution.
- Board certification or board eligibility in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine.
- Valid and unrestricted medical license to practice in the state of Florida.
- Demonstrated commitment to providing high-quality, patient-centered care in an outpatient setting.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills, with the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
- Experience with electronic health records, with preference for familiarity with eClinicalWorks EMR system.
- This is a full-time, permanent position with a standard outpatient schedule of Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM.
- No after-hours call responsibilities are required, supporting a healthy work-life balance.
