Primary Care Physician (MD/DO) Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Primary Care Physician (MD/DO) to join a well-established private practice, providing comprehensive outpatient medical care. The position is full-time, focusing on delivering patient-centered care in a 100% outpatient setting with minimal phone call responsibilities. Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive primary care services to patients of all ages in an outpatient setting.
- Conduct thorough evaluations, perform routine wellness exams, and manage acute and chronic illnesses.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on patient history, examination, and diagnostic findings.
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests, prescribe medications, and provide preventive care education.
- Collaborate with other healthcare providers, including specialists, nurses, and support staff, to ensure coordinated and effective patient care.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date electronic medical records in compliance with all applicable regulations and standards.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and ongoing professional development activities.
- Foster positive relationships with patients and their families to support ongoing engagement in their health and wellness.
Qualifications
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited institution.
- Completion of an accredited residency in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, or a related primary care specialty.
- Board certification or board eligibility in primary care (Family Medicine or Internal Medicine).
- Current and unrestricted medical license to practice as a Primary Care Physician (MD/DO) in North Carolina or eligibility to obtain licensure.
- Strong clinical skills with a patient-focused approach to care.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and team members.
