Power BI Developer - Summary
- Design, develop, and optimize enterprise data models and Power BI reports to support data-driven decision-making across the organization.
- Integrate Power BI visualizations with Databricks to build scalable, automated, and validated data products.
- Implement and maintain Power BI governance standards, including advanced security features.
- Work collaboratively with teams to translate complex data requirements into actionable insights.
- Enhance data pipelines and architecture following industry best practices.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Collaborate with business and technical stakeholders to gather and analyze data requirements for various reporting needs.
- Develop, test, and deploy interactive Power BI dashboards, semantic models, and certified datasets for enterprise-wide use.
- Utilize advanced DAX and Power Query skills to create metrics, KPIs, and custom calculations for robust reporting.
- Engineer data solutions using Databricks (PySpark, SQL, Delta Lake, Unity Catalog) to optimize data pipelines and ensure high data quality.
- Apply data warehousing and architectural principles to curate data layers (Bronze, Silver, Gold) for efficient data management.
- Implement and maintain row-level security (RLS) and other governance standards to protect sensitive information within Power BI reports.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment on project goals and deliverables, providing technical guidance as needed.
- Continuously monitor and improve Power BI performance, ensuring reports and dashboards are efficient and scalable.

Qualifications & Requirements
- Minimum of 8 years of combined experience in Data Engineering and Business Intelligence development.
- At least 5 years of proven experience working with Power BI, including DAX, Power Query, semantic modeling, and KPI framework creation.
- Demonstrated experience developing interactive dashboards and certified datasets for enterprise users.
- Strong hands-on experience with Databricks, PySpark, SQL, Delta Lake, and Unity Catalog.
- Advanced SQL skills, including querying, validation, and performance optimization.
