Power BI Developer Job OverviewWe are seeking an experienced Power BI Developer for a short-term contract opportunity. This position is responsible for designing, developing, and deploying custom reports and dashboards using Microsoft Power BI and Crystal Reports. The Power BI Developer will work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality business intelligence solutions that enable data-driven decision making. This contract role offers a chance to contribute to a large organization, supporting its ongoing data analytics and reporting needs.
Key Responsibilities- Design, develop, and implement custom reports and interactive dashboards utilizing Microsoft Power BI and Crystal Reports.
- Integrate Power BI and Crystal Reports with multiple data sources, including but not limited to SQL Server, Oracle, SAP BW, Salesforce, Aumentum Tax System, and SharePoint.
- Provide ongoing support and maintenance for existing Power BI and Crystal Reports assets, ensuring data accuracy and system reliability.
- Troubleshoot technical issues related to reporting tools and data integration, and implement recommended enhancements for performance improvement.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather business requirements and translate them into effective data visualization and reporting solutions.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation for report designs, data flows, and system configurations.
- 3-5+ years of professional experience developing business intelligence reports using Power BI.
- Proficiency with Power BI Desktop and Power BI Report Builder, with demonstrable experience in building interactive dashboards.
- At least 5 years of experience designing, maintaining, and developing Crystal Reports, with a strong understanding of data structures and reporting best practices.
- Advanced proficiency in DAX formulas within Power Query for robust data modeling and calculations.
- Experience working with various data sources such as SQL Server, Oracle, SharePoint, SAP BW, Salesforce, and Aumentum Tax System.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets and provide actionable insights.
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities within team-oriented environments.
