Pool Technician - Summary
The Pool Technician is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, safety, and operational reliability of swimming pool facilities. This role involves regular inspection, testing, and maintenance of pool water, handling of chemicals, and performing preventive and corrective maintenance on all related equipment. The Pool Technician ensures compliance with government standards and works proactively to prepare for and respond to audits. Duties & Responsibilities
- Maintain optimal pool cleanliness and chemical balance to ensure safe and healthy water conditions for all users.
- Operate, maintain, and clean all pool equipment, including robotic vacuums and filtration systems, ensuring peak performance and longevity.
- Safely handle and maintain CO2 tanks and manage chemical storage following all safety protocols and regulatory guidelines.
- Conduct and document pool water testing three times daily, ensuring accurate and timely recording of all results for compliance with regulatory standards.
- Perform regular inspection and maintenance of pump rooms and chemical rooms, including lubricating pumps, valves, and motors to minimize downtime and extend equipment life.
- Maintain comprehensive and organized records, supporting routine government audits and internal reviews.
- Troubleshoot, diagnose, and respond to equipment failures or malfunctions, coordinating timely repairs as necessary.

Qualifications & Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of pool maintenance experience preferred; demonstrated ability to swim and perform all duties required.
- Valid Driver's License; candidates must successfully pass a background check and drug screening as part of the hiring process.
- OSHA 10 certification is required after hire; candidates without this certification must be willing to obtain it.
- First Aid and CPR certification preferred; additional training in CO2 tank handling is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail, a reliable work ethic, and a safety-conscious mindset are essential.
- Solid technical and mechanical aptitude, with the ability to troubleshoot equipment and perform preventive maintenance.
