Physician Assistant (PA) or Nurse Practitioner (NP) – Internal MedicineManuli Internal Medicine is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Physician Assistant (PA) or Nurse Practitioner (NP) to join our small, stable private practice in Elizabeth City, NC, as a full-time team member. This internal medicine role offers the opportunity to provide comprehensive care in a supportive environment with a collaborative healthcare team. Located less than an hour from the scenic Outer Banks and the metropolitan area of Norfolk, VA, Elizabeth City provides a welcoming community and convenient access to both recreation and urban resources.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct thorough patient assessments, gather complete medical histories, and accurately document findings.
- Perform detailed physical examinations and a wide range of diagnostic procedures as indicated.
- Diagnose and manage a broad spectrum of acute and chronic conditions commonly encountered in internal medicine and primary care settings.
- Order, interpret, and follow up on laboratory tests, imaging studies, and other diagnostic modalities to guide clinical decision-making.
- Develop individualized treatment plans, prescribe medications in accordance with state guidelines, and adjust therapies as needed to optimize patient outcomes.
- Educate patients and their families about diagnoses, treatment options, preventive care, and healthy lifestyle choices to promote long-term wellness.
- Collaborate closely with the supervising physician and other healthcare team members to ensure the highest standards of patient care and continuity.
- Maintain meticulous, up-to-date electronic medical records in compliance with regulatory and practice standards.
- Ensure all clinical practices meet current regulatory requirements and adhere to established internal medicine guidelines.
- Participate actively in patient follow-up, ongoing communication, and coordination of care to support positive health outcomes.
- Current and valid Physician Assistant (PA) or Nurse Practitioner (NP) license in the state of North Carolina is required.
- Experience in internal medicine or primary care is preferred; however, new graduates will be considered for this full-time opportunity.
- Demonstrated ability to manage diverse patient populations and medical conditions with professionalism and compassion.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills, with a commitment to delivering patient-centered care.
