Physician Assistant (PA-C) Job OverviewWe are seeking a qualified Physician Assistant (PA-C) to join our community-based primary care practice. This full-time opportunity offers the chance to deliver comprehensive medical care to a diverse patient population, working closely with a consistent support staff while managing your own patient panel. The role is ideal for experienced professionals who are passionate about providing high-quality healthcare and are looking for a collaborative, patient-centered environment.
Key Responsibilities- Provide direct patient care for approximately 70-80% of your workday, including routine visits and basic outpatient procedures in a primary care setting.
- Handle indirect patient care tasks such as managing urgent messages, prescription refills, and responding to patient inquiries, which may sometimes require urgent, same-day or telehealth visits.
- Maintain and manage your own panel of patients, ensuring continuity and quality of care.
- Collaborate with a dedicated support staff to enhance patient outcomes and streamline clinical operations.
- Practice full-spectrum primary care (excluding obstetrics), treating a wide range of acute and chronic conditions.
- Average 14-17 patient visits per day, focusing on thorough and personalized care.
- Participate in clinic hours typically scheduled Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with a standard five-day workweek and 8-hour shifts.
- Current and valid Physician Assistant (PA-C) certification.
- Active Physician Assistant license.
- Minimum of one year of experience as a Physician Assistant in a primary care environment is preferred.
- Ability to manage a personal patient panel independently and efficiently.
- Two to three years of experience in a primary care setting is highly desired.
- Demonstrated experience in providing care to a diverse patient population.
