Physician Assistant (PA) OverviewFamily Medical Associates, P.C. is currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate Physician Assistant (PA) to join our Primary Care Practice. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will play an essential role in providing quality patient care and supporting the wellbeing of the community. This full-time position offers an opportunity to work alongside experienced physicians in a collaborative and supportive clinical environment.
Responsibilities- Conduct in-person office visits for patients as part of the primary care team, ensuring thorough assessments and comprehensive documentation of each visit.
- Work collaboratively with onsite physicians to manage chronic conditions, deliver acute and urgent care, and participate in ongoing medication management for patients.
- Provide close follow-up care to patients, monitoring progress and adjusting treatment plans as needed to support optimal health outcomes.
- Engage in patient education, guiding individuals and families in preventive care, disease management, and healthy lifestyle choices.
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to coordinate high-quality, patient-centered care.
- Maintain accurate, timely, and confidential patient records in accordance with healthcare regulations and organizational policies.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable healthcare laws, standards, and protocols to promote patient safety and quality care.
- Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program with a current and valid Physician Assistant license (PA-C).
- Certification by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA).
- Experience in outpatient primary care is preferred, though not required; new graduates are encouraged to apply.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with an ability to work collaboratively in a clinical team environment.
- Demonstrated commitment to providing compassionate, evidence-based patient care.
