Gerald Family Care is seeking a dedicated Physician Assistant (PA) to join our team of healthcare professionals. This position offers both full-time and part-time opportunities, serving the communities of Prince George’s County, Maryland, and Washington, D.C. As a Physician Assistant (PA) at our established family medicine practice, you will play a key role in providing comprehensive primary care services to an underserved patient population. Responsibilities
- Perform detailed physical examinations and obtain thorough medical histories from patients in accordance with established clinical protocols.
- Assess, diagnose, and treat a variety of common medical conditions under physician supervision, ensuring the highest standards of patient care.
- Collaborate closely with physicians and the healthcare team to develop, implement, and monitor individualized treatment plans for each patient.
- Educate patients and their families on preventive healthcare strategies, disease management, and overall wellness to promote healthier outcomes within the community.
- Maintain meticulous and accurate records of patient encounters using electronic health records (EHR) systems, ensuring compliance with all practice guidelines and regulatory requirements.
- Participate in community outreach programs and initiatives aimed at improving access to care and health outcomes for local residents, particularly those in underserved areas.
Qualifications
- Graduation from an accredited Physician Assistant program, demonstrating a solid foundation in primary care and clinical practice.
- Active and unrestricted Physician Assistant license in both Maryland and Washington, D.C., meeting all state and local regulatory requirements for clinical practice.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary healthcare team, contributing positively to a collaborative practice environment.
- Strong adaptability and resilience in a fast-paced, dynamic clinical setting, with a commitment to ongoing professional development and learning.
- Prior experience in family medicine or primary care is advantageous, but not required; new graduates are encouraged to apply.
