Physician Assistant – Family Medicine (PA-C) Job OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated and experienced Physician Assistant – Family Medicine (PA-C) to join our full-time team serving the Wilmington, Delaware area. This position offers the rewarding opportunity to provide comprehensive, office-based primary care for a diverse patient panel, ranging from newborns to elderly adults. As part of an established practice, you will play a key role in delivering preventive care, managing acute and chronic conditions, and performing select office-based procedures. Our collaborative team structure ensures that you are supported in focusing on patient care, while administrative burdens are minimized through assigned support staff, care managers, and scribes.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver high-quality, office-based primary care to patients of all ages, from infants to seniors.
- Provide both preventive and sick care, including management of chronic diseases and some in-office procedures.
- See patients from your own panel as well as, when needed, those from other clinicians’ panels to ensure timely access to care.
- Participate in collaborative, multidisciplinary team care with physicians, social workers, nurses, medical assistants, clerical staff, scribes, and managers.
- Flexibility to work some early morning, early evening, and occasional Saturday morning shifts to accommodate patient needs.
- Potentially provide primary care to homebound patients, based on practice requirements and your experience and interests.
- Utilize electronic health record (EHR) systems for documentation and care coordination.
As a Physician Assistant – Family Medicine (PA-C) in Wilmington, Delaware, you will benefit from a practice structure designed to let clinicians focus on patient care. Qualifications- Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program with current licensure to practice as a PA-C in Delaware.
- Possess an active, unencumbered DEA registration and Delaware controlled substance license.
- Minimum of two years' experience in a primary care or comparable clinical setting.
- Experience providing home visits is a plus.
- Proficiency with electronic health record (EHR) systems required.
- Bilingual abilities are advantageous but not required.
- Strong written and interpersonal communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
