Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) - Summary

Duties & Responsibilities
- Promote the company’s philosophy, mission, and administrative policies to maintain quality standards.
- Perform direct physical therapy services in accordance with physician-certified standards of practice.
- Follow the established Plan of Care and promptly report any changes in patient status to the supervising Physical Therapist.
- Comply with all State Practice Act Guidelines as well as organizational policies and procedures.
- Provide care based on physicians’ orders, patient assessments, and established standards.
- Incorporate patient care goals into therapy and instruct patients or caregivers in the proper use of assistive devices.
- Educate patients and caregivers on home therapy programs to encourage independence and safety.
- Safely lift, handle, and transfer patients and equipment as necessary.

Qualifications & Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited physical therapy assistant program approved by the American Therapy Association.
- Current, unrestricted Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) license.
- At least 6 months of experience as a Physical Therapist Assistant preferred.
- Reliable vehicle, valid driver's license, and up-to-date auto insurance.
- Willingness and ability to travel up to 50% within the assigned service area.
