Pediatrician, MD/DO Job Overview
We are seeking a Board Certified or Board Eligible Pediatrician (MD/DO) for a full-time position within a well-established primary care practice serving the Chantilly and South Riding, Virginia areas. This opportunity is ideal for a dedicated Pediatrician who is passionate about providing comprehensive healthcare for children and adolescents. The practice has been a trusted healthcare provider in the community for over 12 years, offering a collaborative environment alongside experienced family medicine physicians and an excellent support staff.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality primary care to pediatric and adolescent patients, including preventive care, acute illness management, and chronic disease management.
- Work closely with family medicine physicians to ensure coordinated care for all patients within the practice.
- Conduct thorough patient examinations, order and interpret diagnostic tests, and develop appropriate treatment plans.
- Educate patients and their families on health maintenance, disease prevention, and management of acute and chronic conditions.
- Document all patient interactions, assessments, and care plans accurately in the electronic health record (EHR) system.
- Collaborate with clinical and administrative staff to ensure efficient patient flow and high-quality care delivery.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and stay current with advances in pediatric medicine, including continuing medical education (CME).
Qualifications
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) degree from an accredited medical school.
- Board Certification or Board Eligibility in Pediatrics (American Board of Pediatrics - ABP).
- Valid and unrestricted medical license to practice medicine in the state of Virginia or eligibility to obtain one.
- Commitment to providing compassionate, patient-centered care to infants, children, and adolescents.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
