Pediatrician (MD/DO) – Full-time Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Pediatrician (MD/DO) to join our established and expanding pediatric primary care practice in St. Petersburg, FL. As a Pediatrician, you will play a crucial role in providing comprehensive care to a diverse pediatric patient population, ensuring that each child receives high-quality, compassionate, and individualized care. This full-time position offers the opportunity to collaborate with an experienced team of healthcare professionals dedicated to family-centered pediatric medicine.
Responsibilities
- Deliver routine pediatric primary care services, including well-child visits, immunizations, and sports physicals, in a patient-centered environment.
- Assess, diagnose, and treat a range of acute and chronic pediatric conditions.
- Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team including front desk staff, schedulers, certified medical assistants (CMA), and an advanced registered nurse practitioner (ARNP).
- Maintain accurate and timely medical records in accordance with regulatory and practice standards.
- Educate patients and families on preventive care, growth and development, and healthy lifestyle choices.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives within the practice to continually enhance patient care and satisfaction.
- Follow all organizational protocols, policies, and procedures to ensure a safe, inclusive, and welcoming environment for patients and staff.
Qualifications
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited medical school.
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Pediatrics (BC/BE preferred).
- Consideration for Family Medicine (FM) or Internal Medicine/Pediatrics (IM/Peds) training.
- Active and unrestricted medical license to practice in Florida or eligibility to obtain one.
- Demonstrated passion for delivering high-quality, patient-centered pediatric care.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and continuing medical education.
