Pediatrician Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Pediatrician for a full-time outpatient primary care role. This opportunity is based in Miami, Florida, and is ideal for compassionate medical professionals committed to delivering high-quality healthcare to children and their families. Our healthcare organization is renowned for its patient-centered approach and focus on building long-term relationships to support the ongoing health and well-being of our pediatric patients. We operate multiple medical centers across Florida, allowing for easy access to a variety of primary care, diagnostic, and laboratory services.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive primary care services to pediatric patients in an outpatient setting.
- Manage an average patient load of approximately 20 children per day, dedicating 15-20 minutes to each appointment to ensure thorough assessment and personalized care.
- Deliver preventive care, manage acute and chronic illnesses, and educate families on wellness and healthy lifestyles for their children.
- Participate in a rotating call schedule, with one week on call per year to ensure continuity of care for patients.
- Work occasional Saturdays as part of a physician rotation, with additional compensation for these hours.
- Utilize electronic medical records (EMR) via E-Clinical Works to document patient interactions and manage healthcare information efficiently and securely.
- Engage in multidisciplinary collaboration with nurses, medical assistants, and other healthcare professionals to provide coordinated care.
- Support children and their families through all stages of growth and development, addressing a wide range of medical needs.
Qualifications
- Current license to practice medicine in the state of Florida is required.
- Board Certification or Board Eligibility in Pediatrics, Internal Medicine-Pediatrics (IM-Peds), or Family Medicine preferred.
- Candidates with a Florida ACN license who are not board certified may also be considered.
- Proficiency in Spanish is highly preferred to better serve our diverse patient population.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively interact with children, families, and multidisciplinary team members.
