Payroll Specialist - Summary
- Responsible for processing bi-weekly or monthly payroll cycles with precision and efficiency.
- Serves as a key point of contact for payroll-related inquiries and ensures employees are paid accurately and on time.
- Supports compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations.
- Assists in maintaining and updating comprehensive payroll records for all employees.
- Works closely with the Payroll Manager and other finance professionals on special projects and audits.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation and processing of payroll, ensuring all data is entered accurately and deadlines are consistently met.
- Verify, input, and update employee information such as hours worked, earnings, deductions, and withholdings into the payroll system.
- Maintain and update payroll records related to salary adjustments, benefit changes, and tax withholdings.
- Respond promptly and professionally to employee questions regarding payroll matters, pay stubs, or deductions.
- Prepare payroll-related reports, including summaries for tax filings, benefit administration, and year-end documentation.
- Ensure all payroll practices adhere to federal, state, and local laws and regulations, supporting compliance initiatives and audit requests.
- Work collaboratively with the Payroll Manager to assist with special projects, administrative tasks, and process improvements.

Qualifications & Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is highly desirable.
- Basic knowledge of payroll procedures, processes, and compliance requirements.
