Order Entry Clerk Position Overview
TriStarr's client is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Order Entry Clerk to join their team in Manheim on a full-time basis. As an Order Entry Clerk, you will play a vital role in the accurate processing and acknowledgment of customer orders, contributing to efficient operations and exceptional customer service. This position requires a proactive, tech-savvy individual who can handle multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a high level of accuracy and professionalism.
Key Responsibilities
- Process and enter customer orders into the Oracle system with a focus on accuracy and data integrity.
- Review all incoming orders to ensure correct pricing, delivery dates, and product details are recorded.
- Respond promptly to customer inquiries regarding order status, product availability, shipping logistics, and related concerns through various communication channels, including email and phone.
- Collaborate with internal departments such as sales and logistics to resolve order discrepancies and facilitate timely shipments.
- Verify all order details with customers, including pricing, shipping schedules, and notifications of any potential delays.
- Maintain thorough and organized records of all customer orders and communications for reference and audit purposes.
- Support the internal sales team by identifying and escalating customer issues that require their expertise or intervention.
Qualifications
- Proficient verbal and written communication skills, enabling effective interaction with customers, sales representatives, and vendors across multiple platforms.
- Strong mathematical aptitude for calculating order totals, discounts, and shipping rates, as well as interpreting data accurately.
- Familiarity with Google platforms and Oracle software is preferred, demonstrating a comfort with technology and order management systems.
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple orders and customer interactions efficiently.
Physical Demands
- Ability to sit and communicate regularly via phone or email throughout the workday.
- Occasional standing, walking, and performing light lifting tasks up to 25 pounds.
Education and Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent required. Candidates with technical school or college degrees are preferred.
- Minimum of one year of experience in a related order entry or administrative role is required.
