Oracle HCM Developer (Full-time, Remote) Overview
ARC Group is seeking a skilled Oracle HCM Developer to join our team in a full-time, remote capacity working within Eastern time zone business hours. As an Oracle HCM Developer, you will play a critical role in supporting and enhancing our database systems with a strong focus on the Oracle Human Capital Management (HCM) module. This contract position is expected to run through August 2025, with the possibility of extension or conversion to full-time employment. Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive database support with an emphasis on backend programming using Oracle PL/SQL, including development, maintenance, and troubleshooting of database code.
- Collaborate within the Database Group to ensure the successful implementation and ongoing support of enterprise software products, particularly those utilizing the Oracle HCM Cloud suite.
- Maintain and update source code repositories and create required technical documentation to ensure continuity and clarity within database projects.
- Assist Database Administrators (DBAs) with overall database maintenance activities to ensure optimal system performance and reliability.
- Participate in performance tuning and optimization of SQL queries, application programs, and database instances to meet business requirements and service level expectations.
- Reverse engineer and modify existing code to resolve issues or improve efficiency, and provide mentorship and guidance to other development staff as needed.
- Ensure database programs adhere to established V3 standards and best practices for code quality and security.
- Leverage advanced Oracle HCM Cloud experience with HCM Extracts, BIP Reports, OTBI, Fast Formulas, Value Sets, and Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC).
- Lead and support complex data conversion initiatives from other HCM systems into Oracle HCM Cloud.
- Utilize automated testing tools such as Selenium or similar frameworks to validate and optimize database solutions.
- Deliver 24x7 production support for large-scale environments as required, including implementing and managing complex indexing strategies such as column store indexing.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in IT with a focus on technical design, coding, and supporting Oracle database applications.
- Hands-on expertise with Oracle PL/SQL and working knowledge of Oracle versions 10g, 11g, 12c.
- Proven skills in database programming, troubleshooting, dynamic SQL, performance tuning, and complex indexing strategies.
- Demonstrated ability to mentor or lead development teams, foster knowledge sharing, facilitate open discussions, and resolve conflicts effectively.
- Experience with functional areas of Core HR, Benefits, Payroll, Talent Management, and Absence Management within Oracle HCM Cloud.
- Automated testing experience with Selenium or equivalent solutions.
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Must have permanent US work authorization (no C2C, third-party, or brokering arrangements).
